regional television channel TV3 (Catalonia) was the one who reported the news, and online only found information on the name and location of the association that was responsible for Mambo, the mistreated dog.
funny thing was that the dog, which burned defenseless subject alive and miraculously survived, was declared a witness in his own trial.
What is also curious and tiresome is that other sites, blogs and social media news literally copied without citing the source nor the author, the author in this case because I am. (

On 10 August, two young people between 17 and 22 burned alive in an abandoned dog in the French town of Speyer-De-l'Agly, near Perpignan, just for 'fun', they said in their statement.
The 22 year old was holding the animal, which came to him for help, while the minor boy doused him with alcohol and lit it.
An example for justice against animal abuse
The dog, which presented 50% of body burned, survived the brutal abuse and is in charge of the SPA Association of Perpignan.
During police custody, the young defendants admitted the facts, without explaining why they did it.
The trial was held today in Juvenile Court and has imposed the following penalties for defendants: 3 years imprisonment, a fine of around € 3,000 and a ban on keeping animals for the rest of his life.
Mambo, the name given to the dog, was the first animal who has attended a trial, becoming an example for justice against animal abuse.
The news has been featured in all the French media and there have been demonstrations by groups in favor of the animals, while the French public felt shocked and embarrassed by what happened.
"The dog was abandoned on the road during the holidays," says sadly Virginia Pocq Saint-Jean, President of the SPA in Perpignan. Saint-Jean
explains that during this time have received many letters of support, drugs and donations to help the cause of Mambo.
